Charlie Health, a leading provider of virtual mental health care tailored for young individuals, has teamed up with Memorial Hermann Health System to expand access to outpatient mental health treatment programs for vulnerable Houston residents. Their collaboration aims to address gaps in mental health care by leveraging comprehensive virtual treatment solutions. Memorial Hermann's partnership with Charlie Health underscores its commitment to removing barriers to mental health care for those in need of additional support.

As part of their dedication to supporting the well-being of young people in Houston, Memorial Hermann is partnering with Charlie Health to extend mental health care options for high-acuity patients who could benefit from outpatient treatment programs. Patients who opt for Charlie Health's virtual programs will receive personalized outpatient treatment plans that include various mental health services. These services are typically covered by most major commercial insurance and Medicaid plans in Texas.

In addition to improving access to essential mental health services, Charlie Health has demonstrated positive outcomes. Research shows that Charlie Health patients have reduced rates of emergency department admissions for mental health reasons within three months post-treatment. Moreover, clients report improvements in self-harm tendencies, symptoms of depression, symptoms of anxiety, and reductions in suicidal ideation.
