EndoQuest Robotics and OmniVision Collaborate for Advanced Imaging in Flexible Robotic Systems

Friday, January 05, 2024

EndoQuest™ Robotics, a privately-owned innovator in the field of medical devices, specializing in endoluminal robotic technologies, has joined forces with OMNIVISION, a prominent global developer of semiconductor solutions. The partnership aims to integrate OMNIVISION's cutting-edge OCHFA CameraCubeChip® into EndoQuest's Flexible Robotic System.

The OCHFA CameraCubeChip® utilizes PureCel®Plus-S pixel technology, featuring a compact 1.008-micron pixel size in a 1/8-inch optical format. It achieves 720x720 resolution at 30 frames per second, delivering clear and lifelike images while boasting advantages such as high full-well capacity, zero blooming, and reduced power consumption. With a compact 1.075 x 1.075-mm size, 5mm to 50mm focus range, and 120-degree diagonal field-of-view, it proves ideal for GI and endoluminal procedures. As a medical-grade component, rigorously certified and tested, this collaboration enhances patient care and elevates surgical visualization standards.

This initiative aligns with EndoQuest Robotics' dedication to advancing minimally invasive surgery, focusing on precision, flexibility, and improved patient outcomes. The company actively collaborates with healthcare providers, researchers, and industry partners to redefine and enhance the standard of care in minimally invasive procedures, ultimately benefiting patient outcomes.
