Europe's First Surgical Procedures Completed Using Stryker's Gamma4 Hip Fracture Nailing System

Stryker, The Gamma4 Hip Fracture Nailing System is tailor-made for the treatment of hip and femur fractures. It incorporates advanced technology, including a nail design that utilizes data from Stryker's extensive SOMA database, housing over 37,000 3D bone models generated from CT scans.

Since receiving CE certification in November 2023, the system has already been utilized in over 25,000 cases in North America and Japan.

Vice President and General Manager of Stryker's European Trauma & Extremities business, emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating, “This moment marks an important milestone as the Gamma4 Hip Fracture Nailing System enters the European market following its successful launch in the United States.

This system speaks volumes about Stryker's continued commitment to innovation and excellence in providing cutting-edge medical solutions."

The inaugural surgical procedures in Europe were conducted by esteemed surgeons at various institutions, including Luzerner Kantonsspital LUKS in Switzerland and CHUV in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Hôpitaux Universitaires de Strasbourg in France.

Feedback from these surgeons highlighted the system's ability to tailor treatment to each patient's unique anatomy, enhance procedural efficiency, and improve overall surgical outcomes.

Subsequent to these initial surgeries, over 35 additional procedures have been performed across France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland using the Gamma4 system.
