Onera Health, a prominent player in the field of sleep medicine and remote monitoring, has announced the official launch of its revolutionary sleep disorder diagnostic solution in Europe. This groundbreaking service leverages Onera's CE-marked and FDA-cleared Onera Sleep Test System and the Onera Digital Health Platform. It empowers sleep professionals to conduct sleep studies in the comfort of patients' homes while maintaining clinical-grade quality equivalent to in-lab diagnostics.
Ruben de Francisco, Chief Executive Officer at Onera Health and one of the founders, highlights the significance of this development: "Comprehensive sleep diagnostics has traditionally been limited to in-patient laboratories, demanding substantial resources and resulting in long waiting times and suboptimal patient experiences. Our innovative solution enables widespread adoption of at-home polysomnography, significantly enhancing patient comfort during sleep studies and improving access for individuals suffering from sleep disorders."
"Sleep medicine has struggled to keep pace with the growing prevalence of sleep disorders for far too long. Onera's Polysomnography-as-a-Service solution not only eliminates diagnostic delays but also ensures unparalleled signal quality in at-home sleep testing. This is particularly crucial for patients with advanced or complex sleep disorders," adds Hartmut Schneider, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder of Onera.
Onera's Polysomnography-as-a-Service solution will initially be available in The Netherlands and Germany starting in 2022, with additional European countries being added in the coming months.
The company will present new data from ongoing clinical validation studies related to the Onera Sleep Test System (STS) at the 2022 ERS International Congress and showcase its ground-breaking solution at booth #J02A in the Fira Gran Via Convention Center Barcelona. The ERS International Congress is a leading medical conference that brings together clinicians, scientists, and researchers from around the world in the field of respiratory and sleep medicine.
