Regen Lab Collaborates with Moroccan Ministries, Dassault Systèmes, Baylor College of Medicine, and SOTHEMA to Advance Regenerative Medicine in Morocco and Africa

Regen Lab, a Swiss medical technology company, has announced a collaboration agreement with the Moroccan Ministries of Health and Industry, Dassault Systèmes group (3DS), Baylor College of Medicine, and the Moroccan Therapeutic Society (SOTHEMA). The goal of this partnership is to establish a fully integrated global operational structure dedicated to promoting regenerative medicine in Morocco and across Africa.

The collaboration aims to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Develop international regulatory standards that consider the diversity of patients.
  2. Conduct clinical research on high-mortality diseases like heart disease and cancer.
  3. Launch a fully integrated platform called "InSiDDe" that meets FDA-registered GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards for the development of accessible medicines.
  4. Incorporate digital technologies into clinical trials, including "in silico clinical trials," to enhance treatment effectiveness measurement, capture patient heterogeneity, and leverage remote diagnosis and cutting-edge tools.
  5. Provide training to medical staff on advanced technologies.
  6. Utilize 3DS technologies and network to attract talent to Africa.
  7. Foster clinical research in Morocco through partnerships with university hospitals.
  8. Establish a clinical research hospital compliant with US standards.

Regen Lab, as a leader in regenerative medicine, will focus on the following areas within the partnership:

  1. Innovation through laboratory and clinical studies.
  2. Manufacturing tissue-engineered medical devices.
  3. Drug delivery and personalized medicine, particularly in oncology and preventive surgery.
  4. Communication and dissemination of medical technologies.

The collaboration will also facilitate interactions with stakeholders in the United States, including Long Island University, as Regen Lab and 3DS signed a partnership agreement for an industrial innovation accelerator dedicated to regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.

Prof. Khalid AIT TALEB, Minister of Health and Social Protection, expressed enthusiasm for the agreement, emphasizing its potential to accelerate innovation in therapeutic areas and establish a strong biotechnology industry in Morocco.

Antoine TURZI, CEO of Regen Lab Group, highlighted the company's pride in being part of the partnership, stressing their commitment to bringing expertise in regenerative medicine to benefit Moroccan and African patients.
