AdventHealth Invests $145 Million to Enhance Women’s Health Services

Introduction:

AdventHealth Winter Garden is expanding its Women’s Health facilities with a $145 million project starting this summer.

Features:

AdventHealth Winter Garden is undergoing a significant expansion, adding three floors to its patient tower and introducing additional women's services for West Orange County. This expansion aims to improve healthcare accessibility and options in the region.

The 105,000-square-foot expansion project is anticipated to greatly enhance AdventHealth Winter Garden's facilities.

Key enhancements include the addition of 40 new progressive care unit beds and a dedicated floor for obstetrics and gynecology services.

This floor will feature nine labor, delivery, and recovery beds, along with 10 postpartum beds and two operating rooms for C-sections.

There are also plans for future expansion to accommodate a level two Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The expansion will also increase the number of operating rooms and include a shell floor capable of housing 40 additional beds.

The expansion is notable, given that over 6,000 babies are born each year to families from West Orange and South Lake counties, despite many deliveries currently taking place elsewhere.

The project aims to meet the growing healthcare needs of West Orange County, expected by 2026, creating over 100 new high-paying jobs.
