Children’s Mercy Hospital Invests $152M Expansion and New Clinical Programs

Introduction:

Children’s Mercy Kansas City has announced a major $152 million expansion of its Kansas hospital, designed to improve patient care and make it easier for families to access both current services and new clinical programmes.

Features:

This involves renovating the Sterile Processing Department and adding new areas for pre-operative, post-operative, and procedural care. To support the growing need for specialist procedures, additional rooms and updated facilities are being introduced for departments such as Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Orthopaedics, and Gastroenterology. This will allow CMHK’s expert clinical teams to treat more children in a purpose-built environment. It also involves a New Medical Office Building (MOB), Hospital Renovations, and New Clinical Services.

The project is expected to be completed by 2029.
