Cincinnati Children's Hospital Invests $365 Million to Expand Its Liberty Campus

Introduction: 

Cincinnati Children’s plans to expand its hospital and also to add new medical office building by improving access to world-class care for kids and families in Butler County and surrounding areas. The expansion will increase more than double the number of inpatient hospital beds and add surgical operating rooms. This development aims to enhance access to healthcare services for families in and around Butler County.

Features:

A four-story addition to the hospital will introduce new facilities, including four operating theatres, three surgical procedure rooms, and 10 additional rooms for the Emergency Department.
 
The expansion will also add 72 inpatient beds, bringing the campus’s total to 114 upon completion of this phase in the summer of 2028.

Furthermore, over 100,000 square feet of existing space within the hospital will be renovated to enhance patient flow and include eight new imaging rooms. 

Also accommodate an expanded pharmacy, laboratory, and Sterile Processing Department.
Additional upgrades will include increased administrative and educational spaces, an outdoor dining area, a new lobby, and an improved patient drop-off zone.

The expansion will also generate significant employment opportunities, with at least 250 new jobs expected to be created over five years. 

The Expansion is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2029.
