HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital has launched a major modernization endeavor aimed at enhancing its healthcare facilities and services. This ambitious project, valued at around $90 million.

HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital aims to upgrade various aspects of the hospital's infrastructure to better serve the community of Decatur and its surrounding areas.

• The project includes the installation of state-of-the-art surgery suites equipped with cutting-edge medical technologies to support complex procedures.
• Existing patient accommodations are undergoing renovation to modern standards, offering improved comfort and functionality.

The project received unanimous approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) for its Certificate of Need (CON) application in October 2023.
