Johns Hopkins All Children’s Secures US$40 Million for Florida Hospital
Introduction
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has received a US$40 million philanthropic commitment from entrepreneur and philanthropist Tom Golisano to support the construction of its new pediatric hospital campus in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The facility is part of a broader US$300 million-plus campus investment designed to expand access to specialized pediatric care in the region.
Features
The new hospital will comprise five floors and 56 beds on a 112-acre campus near Interstate 75 and Overpass Road in Pasco County.
The facility will include a 17-room emergency department, four operating rooms, an infusion center, sleep laboratory and gastroenterology procedures suite.
Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services will also be provided at the new campus.
The second floor will feature approximately 25,000 square feet of outpatient care space with 36 rooms.
The campus will provide specialized pediatric services closer to families in Pasco, Citrus and Hernando counties, where many children currently travel outside the area for pediatric specialty care.
The site has been planned with additional space to accommodate future expansion as the surrounding community grows.
The new facility will be named Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Golisano Children’s Medical Center at Wesley Chapel in recognition of the donation.
