Livingston Hospital Announces $78 Million Expansion to Boost Rural Healthcare

Introduction:

Livingston Hospital has announced plans for a $78 million expansion to build a new, modern hospital facility, supported by funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The investment, secured with the help of Congressman James Comer, aims to improve access to healthcare services and strengthen rural care in Livingston County and neighbouring areas.

The expansion project includes the construction of a new hospital and significant upgrades to clinical spaces, patient care facilities, and technology. 

The new facility is designed to offer advanced medical equipment, modernised treatment areas, and a wider range of services, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the region for specialised care.

Construction on the new facility is planned to begin in late February or early March, with completion scheduled for 2027.
