McLaren Greater Lansing Breaks Ground on $40M Grand Ledge Emergency Center, Expanding Healthcare Access

Introduction:

McLaren Greater Lansing, part of McLaren Health Care, is expanding into the Grand Ledge community with a new ambulatory care campus.

Features:

The project, will include a freestanding emergency department and additional clinical space.

The 33,680-square-foot campus will allocate 8,500 square feet to the emergency department, enhancing access to diagnostic imaging, lab services, family medicine, and specialty care.

The emergency department will comprise 17 rooms staffed by a full team of emergency physicians and care providers.

The family medicine office will accommodate up to five primary care providers, emphasizing the importance of primary care in community health.

On-site imaging services will include X-ray, ultrasound, and CT units, supplemented by mobile units for additional imaging capacity and procedures.

Office space will be provided for specialists like cardiologists, neurologists, and surgical consultants, enhancing the range of services available within the community.

Construction is set to begin in summer 2024, with completion expected within a year and the facility ready to treat patients by fall 2025.
