Medical City Alliance Expands ER Capabilities with $1.5B Strategic Investment
Introduction
Medical City Alliance has begun a major expansion of its emergency department (ED) to meet rising demand in the rapidly growing Alliance community. The project aims to enhance access to life-saving emergency care and improve patient experience across the region.
Features
The expansion will add eight ER beds, bringing the total to 29, allowing the facility to accommodate more patients and reduce wait times.
The new layout will feature six ambulance bays—three for patient drop-offs and three for staging—to improve access and efficiency for first responders.
The expansion is aimed at advancing care, supporting research, strengthening the workforce, and delivering patient-centred services.
The ER expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
