Introduction:
Mercy Health intends to build a state-of-the-art 241-bed hospital and medical office building on a 62.88-acre location next to Kent State University's Trumbull Campus.
Features:
Mercy Health plans to break ground on this more than 400,000-square-foot building in early 2023, with an expected opening in late 2025.
This upcoming hospital campus will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, and has scope for future campus expansion.
In addition to the hospital, the project will include a medical office complex that will provide specialty treatment.
In addition to the existing St. Joseph Warren Hospital campus, Mercy Health – Youngstown is renovating the former VA clinic on Belmont Avenue to house a family medicine residency programme, a new addiction residency programme, an obstetrics and gynecology clinic, and the Centering Pregnancy Program as part of a joint venture with Kindred Rehabilitation Services (KRS), a business unit of LifePoint Health.
