MUSC Health Invests $45 Million to expand the Bluffton Medical Office Building

MUSC Health has commenced construction on a new medical office building in Bluffton, marking a significant step in expanding healthcare services for the local community. A groundbreaking ceremony took place with MUSC Health leaders, physicians, and local officials to celebrate the launch of the project.

The project is designed to improve healthcare availability while addressing disparities in medical services.

Located at 700 Buckwalter Towne Boulevard, the three-storey building will cover an area of 54,000 square feet. The range of services planned for the facility includes:

Adult and pediatric primary care
A Hollings Cancer Centre satellite clinic, offering oncology and infusion services, supported by a laboratory and compounding pharmacy
Pediatric specialty and urgent care, including after-hours services
Phlebotomy services
A pulmonary and sleep laboratory
Vascular care

The construction is scheduled to open in spring 2026.
