Peconic Bay Medical Center Invests $32M to Expand Maternity Ward

Introduction:

Northwell Health is investing $32 million to expand its maternity services on eastern Long Island with a major development at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.

Features:

The expansion will bring together the hospital’s maternity nursing unit and C-section suites in a newly renovated 22,000-square-foot space on the first floor.

The expansion is expected to provide vital maternity services in an area where women have previously had few options, cutting down the need for long-distance travel to receive care.

The expansion is completed by 2027.
