South Shore University Hospital's $468 Million Pavilion Project Breaks Ground

Introduction:

South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore is undergoing a pavilion project as part of its transformation into a regional healthcare center, with a forthcoming groundbreaking ceremony.

Features:

This significant investment reflects the hospital's commitment to expanding its capacity and healthcare offerings to better serve the broader community.

The pavilion will cover an area of 190,000 square feet. It will include up to 90 private patient rooms.

There will be 10 fully-equipped operating rooms. Additionally, the pavilion will house three more procedure rooms.

Prior to these ongoing developments, South Shore University Hospital had previously invested in renovations and expansions to enhance its emergency room facilities.

The projected completion date for the pavilion project is set for mid-2025.
