St. Elizabeth Healthcare to build a new hospital in Greendale, Indiana.
Features:
The facility will be conveniently located near interstate 275.
It will be a three-story, state-of-the-art building spanning 120,000 square feet.
Services offered will include inpatient care, surgery, emergency department, pharmacy, laboratory, imaging, endoscopy, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization.
St. Elizabeth Dearborn's current location will remain open until the new facility is operational.
The St. Elizabeth Dearborn birthing center will close, with the last deliveries scheduled for mid-November due to low demand.
Women's health services will still be available at the St. Elizabeth Physician’s office in Lawrenceburg.
The Greendale hospital campus will offer breast health screening, gynecological surgery, and other outpatient women's health care.
A dedicated cancer care center will be included for screenings, diagnosis, and treatment.
The St. Elizabeth leadership team is evaluating potential uses for the Lawrenceburg site post-completion of the new facility.
The hospital is expected to open in spring 2024, with design work commencing in the fall and an anticipated completion date in 2027.
