The University of Maryland Shore Regional Medical Center is undergoing an exciting transformation with the construction of a new, state-of-the-art medical complex. This cutting-edge facility will be part of University of Maryland Shore Regional Health and is designed to enhance healthcare delivery in the region. The development aims to incorporate the latest medical technology and create a patient-centered environment that prioritizes comfort and efficiency, ensuring a superior healthcare experience for the community it serves.

The new medical center features a six-level main tower encompassing 325,294 square feet of acute-care space.
Additionally, there is an adjacent 60,000-square-foot building dedicated to medical offices and outpatient services.
The hospital is equipped with 122 licensed private beds, 27 emergency department treatment bays, and 25 adult observation and short-stay spaces.
It includes seven operating rooms and has a helipad for emergency transport. The facility is designed to house a range of core programs and specialty centers, such as an Acute Rehabilitation Center, Behavioral Health services, a Birthing Center, and a Cardiac Intervention Center.
Critical Care Medicine, Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Vascular Services, and comprehensive Women’s Services are also integral components of the hospital’s offerings.
Emergency services are readily available, ensuring critical needs are met efficiently.
The new medical center construction is expected to be completed by 2028.
