Glooko Introduces Breakthrough EHR Integration for Insulin Pump Management

Glooko has launched a new integration with Electronic Health Records, allowing clinicians to access insulin pump settings directly within their existing clinical workflow. The feature, described as the first of its kind, is designed to help healthcare teams access important insulin pump configuration data without leaving their existing EHR systems.

The integration displays key therapy settings, including basal schedules, insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios, insulin sensitivity factors, blood glucose target ranges, closed-loop status and active insulin time.

Previously, this information was often stored in separate software, PDFs or screenshots, requiring clinicians to switch between systems or manually enter details into patient records.

By presenting structured pump settings within EHR flowsheets, the new capability simplifies documentation and supports more efficient clinical decision-making.

It also provides a consistent view of insulin therapy alongside glucose data, helping care teams assess treatment and identify when adjustments may be required.

Glooko’s device-agnostic platform collects and standardises data from different insulin pump manufacturers before integrating it into compatible EHR systems. This approach aims to improve documentation accuracy, reduce administrative workload and strengthen diabetes management across healthcare organisations.

The new integration forms part of the Glooko Web 26.2 and Mobile 16.16 software release, which also introduces additional features to support population health management and patient care.

Glooko currently connects data from more than 200 diabetes and health monitoring devices, with availability of the new integration depending on EHR configuration, device compatibility and regional market support.
