NEURA Robotics Launches AI-Powered Healthcare Platform
NEURA Robotics is expanding into healthcare and life sciences with Physical AI and cognitive robotics designed to support hospital operations and address workforce capacity challenges.
The company has established NEURA HealthTech as a dedicated business unit focused on healthcare applications.
Its first solution is an autonomous mobile platform designed to transport empty beds and sterile goods within clinical environments.
The platform can move empty beds between wards and floors with limited human intervention.
Its flat, omnidirectional design allows it to turn on its own axis and navigate narrow corridors and patient rooms.
The system uses sensors and AI to understand its surroundings and operate safely within hospital environments.
NEURA estimates that the platform could complete around 20 bed movements per day, potentially returning more than 1,300 hours annually to healthcare teams for patient-focused activities.
The platform connects to NEURA’s Neuraverse ecosystem, which integrates sensors, AI and robotic systems.
The company plans to expand its healthcare applications through MAiRA cognitive robot arms for logistics and equipment-related tasks, while MiPA, its cognitive service robot, is being developed for patient-room assistance and medication support.
NEURA HealthTech intends to provide the technology through a Robotics-as-a-Service model.
Hospitals would lease the systems under a fixed monthly fee covering integration, maintenance, software updates and operational support. Data is hosted on European cloud infrastructure.
