SoundHealth Launches First-of-its-Kind Android App for Drug-Free Nasal Congestion
SoundHealth has released a new Android app aimed at providing non-drug solutions for individuals suffering from nasal congestion and rhinitis.
This app is the first of its kind to employ advanced medical-grade technology that converts a regular selfie into detailed skeletal imagery, comparable in quality to a CT scan, to assist in treatment guidance.
The app works alongside the SONU Band, a wearable medical device powered by artificial intelligence. Using 3D facial scans, user-reported symptoms, and CT data, the system creates a customized treatment plan based on each person's unique sinus anatomy.
The SONU Band itself delivers sound-based therapy directly to the sinus region. By emitting tailored acoustic frequencies, it helps reduce inflammation, clear mucus, and open up nasal passages—offering relief without relying on medications like sprays or steroids.
After completing a one-time facial scan through the app, users can begin treatment by wearing the band and activating it. Sessions last approximately 15 minutes and are designed to provide fast, natural relief from congestion.
More than 1,000 healthcare providers, including physicians and dentists, are already recommending the technology. Clinical studies show that over 80% of users experience symptom improvement.
Additionally, SONU stands out as the only FDA-cleared option that rivals or surpasses the performance of popular nasal steroid sprays.
The device has also been approved for use in patients aged 12 and up, making it a viable drug-free alternative for teens experiencing allergy-related nasal issues.
By launching on Android, SoundHealth aims to make this innovative therapy more accessible, giving more people a safe and convenient way to manage sinus and allergy problems from the comfort of home.
