Ann Gallo
Sword Health, a trailblazer in AI-driven healthcare solutions, has appointed Ann Gallo to its Board of Directors, marking a significant enhancement to the company’s strategic leadership team.
With nearly three decades of experience in healthcare investing and advisory, Gallo brings deep domain knowledge spanning healthcare services, medical technology, and public and private equity investments. Her strategic insight and financial acumen are expected to play a key role as Sword Health continues to scale its impact across the healthcare landscape.
Gallo most recently served as Senior Managing Director, Partner, and Investment Team Leader at Wellington Management Company, LLP, where she led the firm’s $60 billion healthcare franchise. During her tenure, she managed diversified healthcare portfolios—both long-only and long-short—and was instrumental in driving Wellington’s late-stage private equity investments in healthcare services and medtech. In addition to investment leadership, she contributed to governance across multiple fiduciary committees, overseeing hedge fund operations, private equity, and governance frameworks.
Prior to Wellington, Gallo honed her expertise in financial strategy and healthcare investment through positions at Alex. Brown & Sons, Piper Sandler, Citibank N.A., and Coopers & Lybrand. She holds a master’s degree in Finance and Applied Economics from MIT and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Boston College.
