TriSalus Life Sciences Appoints Dr. Richard Marshall as Chief Medical Officer to Advance Oncology Development Strategy

TriSalus Life Sciences has appointed Richard Marshall as Chief Medical Officer on a full-time basis.

Dr. Marshall will transition into the role from his current position as Medical Director, a role he has held since January 2025. In his expanded leadership position, he will oversee the company’s medical strategy and provide clinical leadership across development programs, evidence generation initiatives, and broader corporate strategy efforts.

TriSalus Life Sciences is focused on advancing oncology therapies through its PEDD platform, which integrates proprietary drug delivery technology with therapeutic development aimed at improving outcomes for patients with solid tumors.

Dr. Marshall is an experienced interventional radiologist with expertise spanning interventional oncology, hepatobiliary interventions, and trauma care. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine before completing his diagnostic radiology residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation, where he served as Chief Resident. He later completed fellowship training in interventional radiology and interventional oncology at Weill Cornell University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Marshall joined the faculty at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where he established Louisiana’s first Interventional Radiology Residency program and led a high-volume clinical practice. Since 2021, he has also served at Tulane University School of Medicine, remaining actively involved in medical education and clinical training.

The company stated that Dr. Marshall’s appointment reflects TriSalus’ continued investment in strengthening its leadership team as it advances innovative oncology technologies and therapeutic programs for patients with solid tumors.
