Justin Spencer
Eko Health, a pioneer in using artificial intelligence (AI) for the early detection of heart and lung diseases, has appointed Justin Spencer as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of its executive leadership team.
Spencer brings a wealth of financial and operational leadership experience, having previously served as CFO at Vocera Communications, Symmetricom, and Covad Communications. At Vocera, he played a key role in scaling the business and driving its financial growth, culminating in a US$3 billion acquisition by Stryker. His career is marked by a strong track record of enabling strategic growth, operational excellence, and disciplined financial management.
Spencer joins Eko at a pivotal time as the company accelerates its mission to transform cardiopulmonary care. Eko recently surpassed 500,000 healthcare providers on its platform, closed a US$41 million Series D funding round, obtained a Category III CPT code for its AI-powered technologies, and received FDA clearance for the first AI algorithm designed to aid in the detection of heart failure during routine exams.
As CFO, Spencer will oversee Eko’s financial strategy and operations, supporting the company’s continued growth, product innovation, and market expansion. His broad expertise also includes corporate strategy, product management, and development, giving him a well-rounded perspective that aligns with Eko’s long-term vision.
Spencer holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Utah and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business. He also previously served as Audit Committee Chair on the Board of Directors for iPass Inc., where he played an active role until the company’s acquisition in 2019.
With Spencer at the financial helm, Eko is well-positioned to scale its AI-driven solutions and further elevate its impact in the healthcare space.
