Dr. Aneesh Pakala
Karoo Health, America’s Cardiac Solution®, has appointed Aneesh Pakala, M.D., F.A.C.C., as its Chief Medical Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership as it expands its value-based cardiac care platform.
A board-certified cardiologist, healthtech innovator, and recognized leader in value-based care (VBC), Dr. Pakala brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and executive leadership to the organization.
Dr. Pakala is a seasoned physician executive with a career rooted in improving patient outcomes while advancing ethical, scalable healthcare innovation. His professional journey reflects a progression from individual, frontline clinical care to leading system-wide initiatives designed to deliver equitable, sustainable, and high-quality care at scale. He is widely respected for aligning clinical excellence with operational and financial performance in complex healthcare environments.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pakala has held several impactful leadership roles. He launched and led the structural heart program at the University of Oklahoma, helping establish advanced interventional cardiac services. At CSL Behring, he restructured the donor safety program, strengthening quality, compliance, and patient protection frameworks. More recently, he played a key role in advancing value-based care delivery models at ArchWell Health, where he helped drive innovation focused on outcomes, access, and cost efficiency.
In his new role at Karoo Health, Dr. Pakala will lead the company’s clinical value-based care initiatives, guiding strategy, clinical governance, and program execution. His appointment supports Karoo’s planned expansion into nine states beginning in the first quarter of 2026, encompassing more than 20,000 at-risk lives. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Pakala will be instrumental in shaping Karoo Health’s clinical vision and reinforcing its mission to transform cardiac care through value-based, patient-centered solutions.
