Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc., a global leader in medical technology, has appointed Jonathan M. Vigdorchik, MD, as Chief Medical Technology Advisor for Adult Reconstruction and Hip Implants, and Anand M. Murthi, MD, FAAOS, as Chief Medical Advisor for Shoulder, Sports, Extremities, and Trauma (S.E.T.). 

These appointments underscore the company’s commitment to enhancing patient outcomes and advancing innovation across its musculoskeletal portfolio.

In their advisory roles, Drs. Vigdorchik and Murthi will draw on their extensive clinical expertise to guide Zimmer Biomet’s product pipeline and portfolio strategy within their specialties. They will also play a key role in expanding medical education programs, strengthening surgeon engagement, and serving as strategic liaisons between the company and the surgical community worldwide.

Dr. Vigdorchik is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, specializing in hip and knee replacement. He is widely recognized for his expertise in complex reconstruction procedures and innovative approaches to joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Murthi is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who serves as Chief of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Director of the Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship Program at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is an established leader in shoulder and elbow surgery, with a strong background in advancing clinical practices and training future specialists.

Together, their leadership will help Zimmer Biomet further strengthen its innovation roadmap and reinforce its mission to improve the standard of musculoskeletal care globally.
