William E. Evans
BioSkryb Genomics, a pioneer in single-cell and ultra-low-input multiomic solutions, has appointed William E. Evans, Pharm.D., as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Evans has been closely involved with the company since 2019 as a member of its Board of Directors and Chair of its Scientific Advisory Board.
He brings four decades of leadership in pediatric oncology research, pharmacogenomics and translational research. He joined the faculty of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1976, founded and chaired its Pharmaceutical Sciences Department from 1986 to 2002, and served as Scientific Director and Executive Vice President. He then led the hospital as President and Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to 2014.
His research on the pharmacodynamics and pharmacogenomics of anticancer agents in children earned three consecutive NIH MERIT Awards. He has authored more than 450 publications and received numerous national honors.
He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the German National Academy of Sciences.
