Lisa Nibauer
NOWDiagnostics has appointed Lisa A. Nibauer as its Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant step in the company's next phase of innovation and business transformation.
A seasoned healthcare executive, Nibauer brings more than 25 years of experience in diagnostics, medical devices, and consumer health, with expertise spanning product development, commercialization, and global business leadership.
Most recently, Nibauer served as President of Diagnostics at OraSure Technologies, where she led a 500-member organization overseeing operations, research and development, sales, and marketing. During her tenure, she secured more than US$630 million in government contracts, achieved record annual revenue, obtained three FDA Emergency Use Authorizations within a single year, and successfully launched an over-the-counter COVID-19 rapid test that gained widespread retail distribution across the United States.
Before joining OraSure, Nibauer spent eight years at BD, where she managed billion-dollar global businesses, led post-acquisition organizational integration, and advanced innovation programs that resulted in multiple diagnostic and medical device product launches. Earlier in her career at Schering-Plough, she revitalized the Dr. Scholl's® brand, reversing declining sales and introducing the successful Custom Fit Orthotics in-store kiosk concept.
Nibauer holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University. She serves on Lehigh University's Dean's Advisory Council, holds 27 patents, and has received several industry recognitions, including the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Rising Star Award.
She succeeds Robert Weigle, who has served as CEO since 2023. Weigle will transition to an advisory role while continuing as a member of the company's Board of Directors, ensuring leadership continuity and supporting NOWDiagnostics' long-term strategic initiatives.
