Amar Urhekar has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Avalere Health, succeeding Jon Koch in a planned succession. Amar, who joined the company in 2023 as Chief Operations Officer (COO), will now lead the overall direction of the organization.
During his tenure as COO, Amar successfully integrated acquired companies, creating a unified healthcare offering. Avalere Health is now positioned as a strategic partner capable of addressing major healthcare challenges efficiently and at scale. Amar is committed to strengthening global teams, leadership, and talent to provide innovative solutions to biopharmaceutical clients and their patients.
With extensive experience in driving business growth, mergers, and acquisitions across global organizations like IPG, Ashfield Health, and Inizio Evoke, Amar is well-equipped to lead Avalere Health into its next phase. His leadership will continue to build on the foundation laid by Jon Koch, who will remain a strategic advisor to the Board until March 2025.
