Victor Ku
Butterfly Network, Inc., a digital health company revolutionizing medical imaging through its portable, semiconductor-based ultrasound technology and intuitive software solutions, has appointed Victor Ku as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
He will officially join the company in late September and will be responsible for driving Butterfly’s global technology strategy, spearheading product development, and advancing its innovation roadmap.
Victor Ku brings over 20 years of leadership experience in regulated, industrial, and high-tech markets, with a strong track record of scaling global engineering organizations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. His career has been defined by developing cutting-edge imaging systems that seamlessly integrate embedded IoT, AI-powered analytics, and advanced sensor technologies - capabilities that directly align with Butterfly’s mission to expand access to healthcare worldwide.
Most recently, Ku served as Vice President of R&D, Engineering, and PMO at Headwall Photonics, where he oversaw the creation of hyperspectral imaging products designed for applications in remote sensing, machine vision, and precision agriculture.
Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Teledyne FLIR and EFI, where he directed international teams to deliver high-performance, hardware-software integrated platforms for demanding commercial and regulated sectors.
Ku earned his PhD in Engineering Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Oxford and holds an Executive Certificate in Managing Product Platforms from MIT. His appointment underscores Butterfly’s commitment to advancing next-generation imaging technologies that bring diagnostic capabilities to the point of care on a global scale.
