Peter Wehrly
Dymicron®, a privately held medical device company developing next-generation spinal motion-preservation technologies, has appointed Peter Wehrly to its Board of Directors.
A highly respected executive in the spine industry, Wehrly brings more than four decades of leadership experience across major global medical technology organizations.
Throughout his career, Wehrly has held senior roles including CEO, President, Chairman, and global P&L leader, guiding large medical technology businesses through regulatory approvals, clinical development, and international commercialization. His appointment marks an important milestone for Dymicron as the company advances its Triadyme-C® cervical disc through the U.S. premarket approval (PMA) pathway while expanding its international market presence.
Wehrly has built a distinguished career leading innovation-driven healthcare companies. He previously served as CEO and Chairman of Synaptive Medical and as U.S. President and Board Member at Premia Spine. In addition, he held the role of Group President at Covidien, where he oversaw global operations across Western Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Earlier in his career, Wehrly held senior leadership roles at Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Vivex Biologics, and Titan Spine. Across these organizations, he played a key role in driving growth strategies, overseeing operational integration, and successfully commercializing advanced spinal technologies.
Wehrly’s appointment comes during a period of strong momentum for Dymicron, following the U.S. FDA’s approval of the company’s Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) and the initiation of enrollment in its pivotal U.S. PMA clinical study. By strengthening its Board with Wehrly’s extensive expertise, Dymicron aims to accelerate the development and global adoption of its innovative spinal motion-preservation solutions.
