Matt Adam
BrainScope, a leading neurotechnology company advancing brain health diagnostics through computational neuroscience and brain electrical activity analysis, has appointed Matt Adams as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Adams succeeds Laurie Silver, who will transition to the role of President while continuing to support the company’s strategic direction and long-term growth. Both Adams and Silver will serve on BrainScope’s Board of Directors.
Matt Adams brings more than 20 years of experience leading MedTech companies through periods of innovation, scale, and successful exits. Over his career, he has delivered more than US$1.3 billion in realized shareholder value by combining deep technical expertise with strong strategic execution. His leadership spans diagnostics, medical devices, and therapeutics, with a proven track record of scaling global product portfolios, building AI-enabled platforms, developing neuro-focused diagnostics and interventional technologies, and guiding early-stage companies through fundraising and high-value transactions.
Laurie Silver, who was promoted to CEO two years ago, played a pivotal role in positioning BrainScope for sustained impact and scalability. Under her leadership, the company streamlined operations, increased brain injury assessment revenue by 50% year-over-year, and built a multimodal deep learning foundation model platform with applications across a broad range of central nervous system (CNS) disorders.
BrainScope has been a pioneer in the field of AI-driven neurology, becoming the first medical device company to receive FDA clearance in neurology using a machine learning approach. Its recently developed deep learning platform further strengthens the company’s ability to develop novel biomarkers to diagnose, predict, and monitor brain-related conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, and CNS disease subtyping.
With Adams at the helm, BrainScope aims to accelerate innovation, expand clinical impact, and advance its mission to transform brain health diagnostics worldwide.
