Jay Burkhardt
AA Medical has appointed Jay Burkhardt as its new Chief Executive Officer. Burkhardt joins the company from Probo Medical, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer, leading the company through significant growth. Prior to his role at Probo Medical, he spent nearly a decade with McKesson and US Oncology, holding leadership positions across various functions including commercial operations, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.
Burkhardt holds a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and Oklahoma State University, and a Certificate in Mergers and Acquisitions from the Wharton School.
In his new role, Burkhardt aims to continue building on AA Medical’s strong foundation, focusing on leveraging technology to connect buyers and sellers in the medical equipment space while extending the lifespan of medical supplies.
Matt Nelson, the outgoing CEO, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer, where he will oversee the development of AA Medical's technology solutions and marketing efforts. AA Medical is backed by Shore Capital Partners, which has expressed confidence in Burkhardt's leadership to drive the company's next phase of growth.
