Nalu Medical, Inc., a leader in innovative neurostimulation therapies, has appointed Raymond W. Cohen as Chairman of its Board of Directors.

A seasoned medtech executive with a track record of scaling high-growth companies, Cohen brings decades of leadership and strategic insight to his new role. He most recently served as CEO and board member of Axonics, Inc., a medical device company he co-founded in 2013 and successfully took public in 2018.

Under his leadership, Axonics became one of the fastest-growing companies in the Americas, topping the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ and Financial Times rankings in both 2021 and 2022. Cohen stepped down from Axonics following its US$3.7 billion acquisition by Boston Scientific in November 2024.

Cohen also played a pivotal role as Chairman of the Board at SoniVie, Ltd., an Israel-based developer of a renal denervation system for hypertension. He helped lead the company through its $600 million acquisition by Boston Scientific in March 2025. In addition, he currently serves on the board of Kestra Medical Technologies, a commercial-stage company offering a wearable defibrillator for patients at risk of sudden cardiac arrest. Kestra recently completed an oversubscribed IPO, raising US$232 million.

Cohen’s appointment signals Nalu’s commitment to accelerating its commercial momentum and advancing its position in the neuromodulation space through seasoned governance and strategic execution.
