Owens & Minor has appointed Jim Marshall as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The global healthcare solutions company, which provides essential products, services, and technology solutions to hospitals, health systems, and research institutions worldwide, announced the leadership appointment as it continues to strengthen its position in the healthcare industry.
Marshall brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale business transformations, driving operational excellence, and delivering sustainable growth. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed multi-billion-dollar business portfolios, modernized operating models, and built high-performing teams that consistently improved financial and operational performance.
Most recently, Marshall served as Senior Vice President of Health Systems at McKesson, where he fostered a collaborative, performance-driven culture that delivered double-digit growth in revenue, profitability, and market share. Before that, he held the role of Vice President and General Manager of McKesson's U.S. Pharma Operations division, leading a significant operational transformation that strengthened the company's competitive position and enhanced business performance.
Marshall assumes leadership at a pivotal time for Owens & Minor. On December 31, 2025, the company entered a new phase in its history when its medical distribution, products, and technology services business—previously known as Products & Healthcare Services (P&HS)—became part of the Platinum Equity portfolio. Owens & Minor continues to operate as a private standalone company, maintaining its established brand while focusing on innovation, operational excellence, and customer service.
As CEO, Marshall is expected to lead the company's next stage of growth, strengthen strategic initiatives, and continue advancing solutions that support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care across global markets.
