Michael Cusack
BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company, has appointed Michael Cusack as worldwide president of its Urology and Critical Care (UCC) business unit. In this role, Cusack will oversee global strategic, operational, quality, and commercial excellence for the UCC division and will report to Richard Byrd, executive vice president and president of the BD Interventional Segment.
Cusack brings nearly a decade of leadership experience at BD. Most recently, he served as vice president and general manager for BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) in the U.S., where he contributed to business growth, enhanced customer retention, and led commercial integration for multiple acquisitions, including Parata Systems and Medbank.
Since joining BD in 2016, he has held various leadership positions, including roles in BD Diagnostic Solutions and BD Surgical, focusing on product development and market expansion.
Before BD, Cusack spent over 15 years in leadership roles with Danaher’s Leica Biosystems and Abbott Laboratories. He also served as a U.S. Navy officer for eight years and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Cusack holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.
