Sarah Romano
Vicarious Surgical Inc., a next-generation robotics company redefining the future of surgical innovation, appointed Sarah Romano as Chief Financial Officer.
With a distinguished career in financial leadership across the healthcare sector, Romano brings a wealth of experience in capital markets, strategic fundraising, and M&A execution. In her new role, she will lead Vicarious Surgical’s global financial strategy, supporting the company’s mission to transform robotic-assisted surgery and improve patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Vicarious Surgical, Romano served as CFO of Entero Therapeutics, where she successfully led the company’s financial operations, raised substantial capital, and executed high-value in-licensing deals. Her previous role as CFO of Kiora Pharmaceuticals saw her secure more than US$50 million in funding while steering complex M&A transactions and post-merger integrations.
Earlier in her career, Romano held key finance positions including corporate controller, where she managed budgeting, financial planning, internal controls, and SEC compliance. She holds a Master of Accountancy from Boston College and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross.
Romano’s appointment marks a pivotal step in advancing Vicarious Surgical’s growth strategy as it continues to develop and commercialize its pioneering surgical robotics platform.
